Ami Maki is a Portland-based artist and tattooist who blends art and intuition to craft personalized designs for her clients. As a queer, poly, and neurodivergent individual, she brings a unique perspective to her creative work. She has been collaborating with people for over 25 years to create commissioned portraits and feels most at home when creating work with and for others. She ran a successful pet portrait business for years and is currently seeking gallery representation for her large scale charcoal series that you can seen on instagram at @amimakiartist. She currently tattoos at Dire Wolf Tattoo in Northeast Portland, where she is known for her detailed and expressive style. She obtained her tattoo license in 2024 after 3 years in tattoo school and is working hard to grow her clientele.
